How we sell our goods
When you place an order, you will receive email confirmation.
If we cannot accept the order due to goods being out of stock or in high demand, we will refund any payment made.
Our website is solely for the promotion of our goods in the UK (delivery area restrictions apply).
Our produce may vary slightly from their pictures. The images of the goods on our website are for illustrative purposes only and depict the meat as a ready prepared piece, not as it arrives as vac packed ready for safe storage. Your goods may vary slightly from those images. Although we endeavour for accuracy our meat is cut fresh and by hand.
You are responsible for opening and inspecting the goods upon delivery and further chilled storage. We accept no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising as a result of your incorrect storage, preparation or cooking of our goods. You are required to contact us within 1 days of receiving the goods to make us aware of any problems with the items delivered.
If you wish to make a change to the order please contact us as soon as possible. We will let you know if the change is possible. If it is possible we will let you know about any changes to the price of the goods, the timing of supply or anything else which would be necessary as a result of your requested change and ask you to confirm whether you wish to go ahead with the change. Product and delivery changes must be made in writing or over the phone to us 48 hours before your parcel is despatched.
We will notify you if your order is not available and if any changes are made will contact you.
Delivery costs. The costs of delivery will be as displayed to you on our website.
Delivery dates. You will be advised the available delivery date and details when you order goods, and we will confirm if this is possible in an order confirmation email to you. We will try to deliver on your selected date/time but such delivery dates/times are estimates only and we will notify you if your goods are not able to be despatched within the agreed timescale for any reason.
We are not responsible for delays outside our control. If our supply of the goods is delayed by an event outside our control then we will contact you as soon as practically possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. Provided we do this we will not be liable for delays caused by the event, but if there is a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any goods you have paid for but not received.
If you are not at home when the goods are delivered or do not hear the courier when the goods are delivered: If no one is available at your address to take delivery, we will follow the instructions you have given us of where to leave the goods in the circumstances. If we leave the goods where you have requested e.g. on your doorstep or with a neighbour, and they are stolen or damaged, we do not accept any liability.
If you do not re-arrange delivery. If you do not collect the goods from us as arranged or if, after a failed delivery to you, you do not re-arrange delivery or collect them from us we will contact you for further instructions and may charge you for storage costs and any further delivery costs. If despite our reasonable efforts, we are unable to contact you or re-arrange delivery or collection we are unable to refund.
When you become responsible for and own the goods. The goods will be your responsibility from the time we deliver the goods to the address you gave us or you collect them from us. You own goods once we have received payment in full.
If what you have bought is damaged please contact us on receipt of your order.
You can get a refund if you are within the cooling-off period for non-perishable goods of 14 days ( cow hides), but this may be subject to certain conditions and deductions , as returned as unused, and you will have to pay the costs of return of any goods.
As most of our goods are fresh and perishable food, you may not be entitled to the "normal" right to change your mind within 14 days after the day you receive them (such right as set out in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). One of the reasons for this is because the food is likely to have a best before date within only a few days of delivery of the goods.
Our guarantee. Please note that we offer a guarantee for all of our goods this guarantee does not affect your legal rights as set out in these terms.
Changing or cancelling your order. Please let us know by doing one of the following:
Phone or email. Call us on 01749890298 or email us at organics@browncoworganics.co.uk. Please provide your name, home address, details of the order and, where available, your phone number and email address.
By post. Perridge Farm, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, Somerset.BA4 4EW.
Returning goods. If you are exercising your right to change your mind about cow hides you must send off the goods within 14 days of informing us please refer to our refund policy page for all details.
We will not deliver goods at any time if:
- you do not make any payment to us when it is due;
- you do not, within a reasonable time of us asking for it, provide us with information that is necessary for us to provide the goods, for example, delivery address; and/or
- you do not, within a reasonable time, allow us to deliver the goods to you or collect them from us.
We may withdraw the goods for sale, and we will use our best efforts to ensure our website is up-to-date.

Your legal rights
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. During the expected life of your goods (see best before dates on our meat and yoghurt as this may impact on your rights) your legal rights entitle you to the following:
Up to 30 days: if your item is damaged (rather than simply going out of date after delivery), then you can get a refund.

As we supply goods, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. During the expected life of your goods (see best before dates on our fresh produce as this may impact on your rights) your legal rights entitle you to the following:
Your obligation to return rejected goods. If you wish to exercise your legal rights to reject goods you must return them. We will pay the costs of postage or collection. Please contact us for a return label or to arrange collection.
The price of the goods
The price of the goods (which includes VAT where appropriate) will be the price indicated on the order pages when you placed your order. All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£). We use our best efforts to ensure that the price of the goods advised to you is correct.
Changes in the rate of VAT
If the rate of VAT changes between your order date and the date we supply the goods, we will adjust the rate of VAT that you pay, unless you have already paid for the goods in full before the change in the rate of VAT takes effect.
What happens if we got the price wrong?
We will normally check prices before accepting your order so that, where the goods' correct price at your order date is less than our stated price at your order date, we will charge the lower amount. If the goods' correct price at your order date is higher than the price stated on our website, we will contact you for your instructions before we accept your order.
Payments
We accept payment with all major credit and debit cards, including American Express. Your payment will be taken as soon as the order has been placed. Refund for weight variation will be made on day of dispatch.
We only supply the goods for domestic and private use through our website
If you use the goods for any commercial, business or re-sale purpose we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
How we will use your personal information
We will use the personal information you provide to us:
- to supply the goods to you;
- to process your payment for the goods; and
- if you agreed to this during the order process, to inform you about similar goods that we provide, but you may stop receiving these at any time by contacting us.
We will only give your personal information to third parties where the law either requires or allows us to do so.
The ordering and delivery of our goods is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms, except as explained in respect of our guarantee of cow hides.
