Five Stars, not once but twice! - Observer Food Monthly March and May 2005 On blind tastings of our meat in March Brown Cow Beef was the only company to be awarded five stars! On blind tastings in May our yoghurt produced with Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall was the only product again to be awarded five stars! This is a true vindication that the time, effort and attention to detail from soil to plate which takes years in the making is the only way to produce top quality food.

Sunday Telegraph - Jamie Oliver's article in the Stella Magazine An extract of what Jamie Oliver had to say in his new monthly column; Brown Cow Organic's approach to food starts with the soil, which was a real shock to me. The family were absolutely obsessed - even before you get to the breed of the cow,or talk about hanging the meat so that its tasty and tender - about the fact that the proper welfare of animals starts by creating the most fertile and balanced soil. Brown Cow put the continually improving flavour of their meat, and it is incredible, down to this work.
