18-03-17 – Springtime runs and kicks

As a herd we thoroughly enjoy going out to graze the lush green grass daily, except for when the weather turns cold and wet – as it did a few days ago – so we decided to lay down and chew the cud in our cosy and warm cow palace until the sun came out.

Mumma J and the dairy production team have been very busy making lots of yoghurt for customers this week.  Since we appeared on @bbccountryfile we’ve had lots of people wanting to try our award winning organic yoghurt and organic beef, so we had more beef delivered this week as well ready for Jason to do orders customers have placed for delivery in a few weeks time.

Jason wanted you all to know that we will be at the new Shepton Mallet monthly market on Sunday 20th March, he’ll have our organic beef and yoghurts for sale and also there will be our delicious organic beef burgers to buy, free small yoghurt with every burger bought*

Shepton Mallet Sunday Market March 2017

The yearling beef cattle went out to grass for the first time on Wednesday – wow did they kick their heels with delight, have a look at how happy they are.

#Bonny

Hello, my name is #Bonny and I am a #Guernsey #browncow living at Perridge Farm in Pilton, Somerset. I wanted to write this blog so that you can share in the everyday life happenings on our organic farm; which is also the home of Brown Cow Organics.
I started writing #BonnysBlog when I was very young, back in April in 2015 and every week since I’ve been telling you all about things that are happening on the farm; to me, my calf friends, the big girls, all the other animals on the farm and the humans that look after and care for us all – Farmer Clive, Mamma J, Sophie, Vet Stephen and Nathan. So drop in every week for all my Moos – Bonny
